Priory Place Methodist Church, in Doncaster, South Yorkshire

PRIORY PLACE METHODIST CHURCH

In 1832 this church was built adjoining the lovely row of townhouses of Priory Place. It was made for a congregation of 1,300 people, and by 1851 the average Priory congregation was a remarkable 800 in the morning, 400 in the afternoon and 1,200 in the evening! Plus 400 Sunday School children in the morning and 400 in the afternoon!
