THE SUN

Straddling the junction where the Barnsley Road leaves York Road, the Sun (Inn) has been here since at least 1767 (it was formerly known as The Three Cranes).

It is rumored ...

... that legendary highwayman Dick Turpin stopped here on his journey's from London to York.

Directions

Follow the York Road (A638) North of Doncaster for about 3 miles and turn left from York Road, just after the lights.
