St Peter's Church, in Doncaster, South Yorkshire
ST PETER'S CHURCH'The White Church' as it is known in Doncaster was built in 1941 - the only church in England to be consecrated during World War 2. It is quite unique in it's architecture, and features many relics in the Lady Chapel and curiosities that date from the previous St Peters (the previous medieval site is half a mile away).Don't MissDon't miss the Lady Chapel, including a 12th century piscina - a fragment of cross dating to the late 12 century.DirectionsYou need to travel westbound on the Warmsworth Road (A630) from Doncaster towards Warmsworth. The church is on your left after Grenville Road.Street Map
