Rufus Brevett
Tough tackling ever-smiling left back, came through the youth ranks to go on and play for QPR and now Fulham in the Premiership.

Steve Gaughan
Played for Hatfield Main before joining Rovers at youth level in the same team as Rankine, Deane and Brevett making 67 appearances for the first team. A cultured winger who went on to play for Sunderland and Darlington.
Mark Rankine
Youth team and senior team midfield legend from the eighties, now plying his trade for Division 1 Preston.
Joe Harvey
Joe Harvey was born in Edlington 11/6/18 and played for lots of clubs but is probably best known for being manager of Newcastle United from 1962-1975. (submitted by John Gilbert)

The Barnsley and Huddersfield player lived for a time in Skellow and went to Norton Junior & Campsmount School.
