Childrens Parties

Hi everyone, just wondering really as this came up recently for us and wasn't sure what the 'norm' is regarding kids parties.
Our eldest who is 4 was invited to his friends birthday party recently and to be honest I was suprised that most of the parents dropped thier kids off and left. He has been to quite a few parties lately but this is the first one that parents have actually left thier kids. To be honest I wouldn't dream of leaving him he's only four (as were all the other children) and I just think thats way too young.
Am I being a paranoid over protective mum or not what do you think?

You do whats right for you I reckon, after the first you might feel ok or you might want to help out, etc.
