Doncaster Features: Stockport County 2 Doncaster Rovers 4

Doncaster Rovers overcame an already relegated Stockport County on Saturday afternoon despite an injury crisis.

It took just 1 minute and 7 seconds for Rovers to take the lead thanks to Ricky Ravenhill after McIndoe sent the ball to Mulligan who headed into the path of Ravenhill who made no mistake in poking the ball past Neil Cutler.

Cutler then made a routine save from Gregg Blundell’s shot before mid-way through the first half Stockport were back in it, deservedly so.

Damien Allen got his first ever senior goal when he diverted Keith Briggs’ drive into the back of the net.

Dave Mulligan worried Dave Penney as he had to be taken off on the half-hour mark and was added to Doncaster’s long list of injuries but it gave Adam Brown the chance to come on

Cutler made another simple save from Blundell’s effort from the edge of the 18-yard-box and made a similar stop 30 seconds later from Leo Fortune-West.

Barlow missed from 6 yards for Stockport who proceeded to put an optimistic shot from 20 yards wide a minute later.

Disaster struck for Rovers exactly on the 45 minute mark when County took the lead after Barlow flicked the cross from Hurst on to the teenaged Le Fondre who headed home to give County the lead at the break.

Green hit the woodwork for Rovers on the hour-mark and Fortune-West had an effort saved before Green scored on 71 minutes slotted a solo-effort into the bottom right-hand corner.

McIndoe gave Rovers the lead on 81 minutes with a shot from 6 yards before substitute Adam Brown secured all 3 points 5 minutes later in a similar position.

FINAL SCORE: 2 - 4
