Doncaster Features: Yorkshire folk surfing nude!
An old Silicon Valley legend tells the story of a web designer who did night shifts so he could work in the nude and it seems many Britons follow his example.
The people of Castleford and Catterick are not known for their Californian ways, but a new survey - commissioned by AOL from NOP - claims that Yorkshire leads the nation when it comes to surfing in the buff with eight per cent surfing stark naked.
West County web users are more likely to surf in their smalls, particularly women, 27 per cent of whom confessed to logging on in their lingerie.
The mountains of Scotland must be too cold for this kind of behaviour with 70 per cent of Grampian dwellers surfing in pyjamas.
72 per cent of Welsh surfers are most relaxed when wearing a t-shirt and jeans.
However, the south-east is the smartest of Britain's regions, with 24 per cent of the region's web users favouring formal attire.
