Doncaster News and Features: SUTHERLAND SENT TO SEE THE QUEEN!

Latest on Colin Sutherland plus a new round up...
Doncaster Rovers want-away centre-back Colin Sutherland could be on his way back to his native Scotland within the next week.

Glynn Snodin said:'Colin is spending the week training with Queen of the South and if they like what they see then I would imagine that there could be developemnts next week.'

Sutherland, who has told the club that he wants to return to Scotland for personal reasons, has not been considered for the first team games in recent weeks, since a move to Airdrie did not materialise.

Rovers chairman John Ryan is reported to be trying to set up another meeting this week with his Morecombe counterpart in a final effort to try and secure the services of Shrimps striker Justin Jackson.

Rovers have bid 40,000 for the free scoring marksman but the Chrsitie Park club, who are well placed in the Nationwide Conference title chase, are reluctant to sell their leading scorer.

A Rovers XI take on local Northern Counties East League Premier Division side Armthorpe Welfare tonight.
Several first team squad members including Matty Caudwell, and recent injury returnee's Glenn Kirkwood, Scott Maxfield, Tommy Wright and Andy Watson are all expected to have a run out.

All the players who started the game at Scarborough on Monday have been given two days off.

Rovers Lottery numbers
