Doncaster News and Features: JACKSON DEAL DEAD IN THE WATER??

Rovers boss Ian Snodin believes no deal will be done for Morecambe striker...
Ian Snodin admitted today that he thought a deal to bring Morecambe hitman Justin Jackson
to Rovers was looking unlikely.

The club upped its bid to 40,000 last week -but Morecambe are holding out
for more cash.

Snodin said:" The matter is with the chairman. As far as I am know they're
holding out for 70,000 and that's out of the question for us. They have
turned down 40,000 and its going to take a considerable amount of money to
prise him away from there. It is disappointing for us because he is what
we need, an out and out goal scorer. For all our good play we're not
scoring enough goals, and he's grabbed another two since our last bid. I
can't see anything happening at that price."

Former Rovers player Dave Cusack is recovering in hospital after an
horrific car smash. Cussack suffered a double neck fracture when his car
skidded on black ice, overturned, and landed in a ditch near his home in
Essex.
