Doncaster Rovers have been promised 'total co-operation' from a top Division one club in their bid for promotion, it is revealed today.
Club chairman John Ryan has revealed the pledge to help - but Rovers are not yet prepared to reveal which side has made the promise.
Now the chairman is appealing to the club's fans to turn out in their droves for the Scarborough game on Monday to try to boost their home form.
In a message to supporters Mr Ryan said:"A leading First Division club have promised us total co-operation in our pursuit of the title and we still have all six places open for loan places. However, as Ian Snodin points out - and we agree - there are some damn good players already at Belle Vue and they are the ones we want fans to get behind in numbers on Monday. I'd love to see a crowd similar to our opening game with Hayes and then Southport. It creates an intimidating atmosphere for the opposition and I know that Ian and the players want to repay fans for their support on Monday."
He stills belives the club can win the Conference this season.
Manager Snodin was today still waitng to hear if Rovers' increased offer for Justin Jackson would be accepted.
