Goals: (44 mins): Hawkins and Richardson were involved in a mix-up as the

Hawkins and prodded the ball past the advancing Richardson into an empty
(59 mins): A fine pass from McIntyre found CAUDWELL wide on the left and he
swung over a deep cross which eluded Hyde and landed in the far corner of
Verdict: A better performance by Rovers and a long-overdue goal but too many
errors and some poor finishing prevented them from taking all three points.
New signing Peter Smith was unlucky to see his second-minute shot
finger-tipped onto a post by Hyde, but he missed two good chances in the
second half. It was left to lively Matt Caudwell, recalled for the first
time in four games, to equalise with a cross-cum-shot after a
misunderstanding between Hawkins and Richardson had gifted Dover the lead.
Kevin McIntyre, back in central midfield after a spell on the left flank,
had a fine game for Rovers. He will be missed during his forthcoming
three-match ban. Although the ref. was a bit fussy, he was a vast
improvement on last weeks in that he didn't give the impression he'd escaped
from a mental institution!
