Doncaster Features: Famous Doncastrian: Janet Dibley
 Janet Dibley, the English actress best known for her prominent role as Elaine in the 1980s ITV sitcom The Two of Us about a co-habiting couple with Nicholas Lyndhurst.
Janet has appeared in The Bill, Casualty, Eastenders, Fat Friends, The Chase, Waking the Dead, Gold, and The Gingerbread Girl.
Dibley has also done theatre work with the National Theatre and had roles in Mr Cinders, Carousel, Twelfth Night, Figaro, Guys and Dolls and Cinderella.
She currently appears as Dr. Elaine Cassidy in the BBC soap opera Doctors.
