Doncaster Features: Doncaster Rovers 1 Bradford City 1

The first real chance for either side was Bradford’s goal on 10 minutes after Marc Bridge Wilkinson partly slipped on the ball on the left hand side of the penalty area, forcing him to turn and shoot which took a deflection and found its way into the back of the net.

Neil Roberts had the first attempt for Doncaster, shooting from 18 yards out but putting it well wide across the face of goal.

Dean Windass shot over the bar and Warrington made a comfortable save from Cook’s long range effort before Mark Bower scored an own goal to bring it to 1-1.

The ball was put across the face of goal from the left but no player could get near it. McSporran picked it up on the right wing and hammered a ferocious shot across the face of goal, which was going wide until it hit Bower at the far post and found it’s way in.

Schumacher and Crooks both put chances well over the crossbar for Bradford as Doncaster struggled to respond.

Roberts had his shot saved easily and then his header only found the gloves of Henderson 2 minutes later.

Half-time came and both sides knew they needed all 3 points if they had any hope of making the playoffs.

Rovers came out the second half and completely dominated, Gregg Blundell having a go from 25 yards after just 14 seconds of the second half but it was easily caught by Henderson.

Paul Green missed a half-chance seconds later for Rovers and Dean Windass headed over for Bradford as City struggled to take the game to Doncaster.

John Doolan was a star in midfield today and had his 30-yard piledriver parried by Henderson for a corner on 55 minutes.

McSporran had to be stretchered off on the hour mark as the game quietened down with Rovers having a lot of the possession and City limited to long-range efforts which were comfortable for Warrington to save.

There was agony for every Rovers fan in Belle Vue on 83 minutes when Neil Roberts, who deserved a goal, rattled the post with his effort from the right.

Coppinger and Schumacher both put long range efforts over the bar before at the death, Andy Cooke had his close-range shot cleared off the line to give both sides a shjare of the points and end playoff hopes.

FINAL SCORE: 1-1
